AFTERCARE

Proper aftercare is just as important as the tattoo itself. Following these guidelines will help your tattoo heal smoothly, keep the details crisp, and ensure the best long-term results.

DAY-OF CARE

  • After 3 hours, remove the bandage gently and wash with warm water and mild unscented soap. DO NOT REBANDAGE.
     

  • Apply a thin layer unscented lotion 3 times a day.
     

  • Stay out of sunlight and tanning booths until tattoo is healed, at least 2 weeks.
     

  • Do not soak tattoo in tub, sauna, jacuzzi or go swimming while your new tattoo is healing. Showers are fine.
     

  • DO NOT RUB or PICK the treated area while it is healing.
     

  • Extreme sun and exposure over the years can and will fade your tattoo. This can be minimized by using SPF!
     

  • Your tattoo should heal in 3-4 weeks.

CLEANING & DRYING

  • Always wash your hands before cleaning the tattoo.
     

  • In the shower, use warm water and antibacterial soap to remove all of the excess on the surface of the tattoo.
     

  • Make sure the plasma and sweat is fully washed off of the tattoo during this process.

GENERAL CARE

  • Make sure your hands are always clean before cleaning your tattoo.
     

  • Your tattoo needs to be cleaned twice a day with antibacterial soap.
     

  • Never use oil based products or alcohol based products on fresh wound tattoos.
     

  • After the tattoo is cleaned, apply a THIN layer of aftercare balm or unscented lotion.
     

  • Never go swimming while your tattoo is healing especially fresh.
     

  • Tattoos take 10-21 days to fully heal. It will be sore, swollen, and sometimes red for the first couple days to a week. 

    When the tattoo starts flaking/scabbing do NOT touch or peel the tattoo because it will ruin the process the healing.
